For this project we were asked to provide an additional fire rated board to go above the new suspended ceiling. We supplied and installed a 12.5mm thick fireline board, which was tacked onto the existing joists, all seams were then taped and jointed, perimeters were then sealed with an intumescent mastic to provide the additional 1 hour fire protection.
Following the installation of the fireline boards, we fitted a suspended ceiling with an Armstrong EVO square edge tile to match existing ceilings. All installed in a 24mm wide white exposed grid, and new white perimeter trim all around.
The EVO Tile offers fantastic humidity resistance, the discreet perforations give the tile an enhanced acoustic performance, and the light sanded finish reflects light back in the space below.
