A long established Client of Surrey Ceilings called us to discuss the ceiling works for his new business venture in Nursing Homes in St. Albans, having been in the care sector for a number of years. The building had always been a rest home, but was in need of a refurbishment. Our Client was looking for a clean, sharp and soft feel to around 750m2 of replacement ceilings to the corridor and 80 bathrooms. The existing ceilings were standard 24mm exposed grid system with a fissured tile, which had become somewhat dated and didn’t satisfy our Clients requirements of improved fire rating, acoustics and the overall look of the ceilings. We therefore proposed the AMF Fine Stratos TEG edge tile, all laid into a 15mm wide white narrow grid system, which not only looked fantastic but also achieved our Clients requirements with regard to Class A and great acoustic properties. Our Client is extremely happy with the outcome of the project and we completed the project within the timescales and to budget.
